There are many known benefits of water, l know this. My question is, when drinking other drinks (such as soft drinks [soda], Gatorade, soup, milk, ice-tea, beer, etc) will l get the same effects of drinking water alone?

There are many known benefits of water, l know this. My question is, when drinking other drinks (such as soft drinks [soda], Gatorade, soup, milk, ice-tea, beer, etc) will l get the same effects of drinking water alone?
When on Weight Watchers they suggest 8 servings of water a day. 1/2 of them can be other beverages that are non-caloric and decaffinated. So in some ways, I think yes.
